Choosing your language
Jamfinder is available in Dutch and in English. You choose which language the app speaks. Your notifications and your email follow.
- 1
Open Settings
Tap Me, on the left of the strip, and choose Settings. Tap the line "Language · Taal", below "Email". In Dutch it's called "Taal · Language". That way you find it again, even if you picked the wrong language by mistake.
- 2
Choose one of the three
"Automatic" follows your phone's language. That's the default. With "Nederlands" or "English" you set the language yourself, whatever your phone says.
- 3
The screen switches straight away
You stay where you were. At the bottom a strip shows for a moment, with a button back to the previous language, in case you made a mistake.
- 4
Notifications and email follow
If you're logged in, your account remembers the language. New notifications and email from Jamfinder then come in that language. What someone wrote themselves, like a jam's description or a bio, stays in the writer's language.
- 5
The first time you start
The app first takes your phone's language. At the top left of the first screen there's a button with the other language: "English" or "Nederlands". One tap and the app switches.

On the website
On jamfinder.nl there's a link to the other language on the right of the header, with a globe. You stay on the same page. On a phone the choice is at the bottom of the menu. The website remembers what you choose.
