Into the room with the QR code
During a jam you get into the room with the QR code at the bar. After that you see at the top what's playing, and in big letters when it's your turn. Tap that bar or pull it down, and Tonight opens: the setlist, your sign-up and the way back to the agenda.

Scan the code at the bar
With your phone's normal camera, or in the app with "Scan the code at the bar" on the jam's page. The app asks once whether it may use the camera.

Can't get to the poster?
Ask someone who's already in to pull down the bar at the top and choose "Check someone in" in Tonight. They show the room's code on their phone, and you scan it just like the poster.

Want to play?
After scanning you see who's playing and who's hosting the night. Want to play? Choose your instrument, and the host puts you on a song. Choose "I want to play" or "I'm just watching". If you're just watching, you see the night but you're not in the queue.

What are you playing?
Choose an instrument for tonight. If it's not in your profile, that's fine too: it only applies to this night. Tap "Put me in the queue on …". You're in the queue with one instrument at a time.

The waiting room
You can check in from an hour before the start time until the end time. Once the host has closed the night, you can't check in any more. If you're there before the night starts, it says "Door closed" at the top. You see who's already there, you read the setlist and you can put your name down for a spot. Playing and calling up start as soon as the host opens the door; you then get a notification.

Turn on notifications
Want a heads-up when it's your turn? Turn on notifications and keep your phone at hand: in your bag you won't hear or feel the notification over the music. If they're already on, this step is skipped. If saving fails, choose "Try again". Only if permission is missing do you go to your device settings. You can also skip this step and follow your turn in the app.
