Playing during the jam
In the room you join the queue or put yourself on a song. The host decides based on what the stage needs, not on who was first.

In the queue
Tap "Put me in the queue" and add a note if you like, such as "At the bar". You see how many musicians are ahead of you.

Pick a song yourself
Tap the bar at the top, open "Setlist" in Tonight and tap "Join" next to a song. All seats of that song are visible, including those for other instruments. If someone is already on your instrument, the button is called "Ask for a spot" and the host decides who gets it.

Vote for a key
After "Join" you're on it straight away; only then does "Key, optional" appear on your seat, and not for drums, percussion or sound. If the host doesn't lock a key, what the musicians chose counts. With "Not after all" you take yourself off, with a confirmation; once the song is playing you can't any more.

Getting called up
When it's your turn, you get "Come to the stage". Answer with "On my way" or "I can't right now", so the host knows where they stand.

Grab a free spot
If the host is still looking for someone on your instrument, you see "There's a spot for …". Whoever taps "I'll take it" first is on.

Done and heading home
After your song you choose "Find another spot", and you're back in the queue, or "I'll pass for now": you stay in the queue, but the host sees you'd rather not play for a bit. The app won't offer you a spot by itself until you tap "Find another spot" again. If the host asks you or the room, you'll still hear it. With "I'm going home" you leave the songs still to come. If there's a next jam, "Next" takes you there, even if you don't share; otherwise the goodbye closes right away. Sharing is optional. With "Add me" you sign up for that next night; you check in again when you arrive.
