Hosting a jam

Want to host a jam? Offer to host it. The venue decides who hosts, and you always get an answer.

  1. 1

    Open the jam

At the bottom of the jam page it says "Offer to host". For a cancelled or past night that button isn't there.

  2. 2

    Choose what for

"This jam: …" is only about this series. With "Every jam at …" you offer to host all jams at that venue.

  3. 3

Write a message if you like

Under "Message to the venue" you say what you play and why, in at most 300 characters. Then tap "Offer".

  4. 4

    Wait for an answer

On the jam page it says "Request pending" as long as the venue hasn't answered. Changed your mind? Tap "Not after all, withdraw". If the venue says yes or no, you get a notification and it says "Approved" or "Declined", with the reason if the venue gave one.

  5. 5

    If the venue says yes

If you offered for this jam, you're host of that series straight away. If you offered for every jam, the venue can choose you as host per series.

  6. 6

    The limits

At one venue at most one offer runs at a time, and in total you can have three open. If a venue said no, you can ask there again after thirty days.

Tip. First fill in your musician profile with at least one instrument: without an instrument you can't offer to host, because the venue sees that instrument with your offer.
