Filling in your musician profile
Your profile is what a host and other musicians see of you. You open it through Me and see it the way they see it. With the pencil at the top right you change it.
- 1
Open My musician profile
The first time, the app opens this screen by itself. Later you get there through Me, on the left of the strip, with "My musician profile". As long as your town or instrument is missing, there's also a block at the top of the agenda that takes you there.
- 2
Name and town
Your town decides which jams you see. Others only see the name of the place, never your address.
- 3
What do you play?
Choose at least one instrument. Tap a chosen instrument once more to make it your main instrument; if it isn't listed, choose "Other" and fill it in yourself. Choose Electric guitar, Acoustic guitar or Pedal steel guitar. If you were on Guitar, you're now on Electric guitar; if you play acoustic, change it. On your musician profile the app automatically picks an illustration for your main instrument. You don't need to set a cover.
- 4
Genres, travel distance and experience
Choose which genres you like playing most, how far you want to travel and which level suits you: Open, Relaxed, Solid, Advanced or Professional. These are the same five as for a jam.
- 5
Photo and something about yourself
Take a photo with the camera, with an oval for your face, or pick one from your photos. Write a few sentences and add at most three links to YouTube, Spotify or SoundCloud, one per line. Under At the bar you finish up to three sentences, such as "At a jam you'll find me…". Others see them on your profile. Don't know what to write about yourself? Tap Help me get started. What you write is read by other musicians, so we don't post a text with a swear word, a phone number, a link or advertising; you get it back to say it differently.

A link to Spotify
If you add a Spotify link to your profile, the app fetches the title and the cover as soon as you save. If that doesn't work, the link simply stays, without a title.
